Mott MacDonald offers public and private sector customers a range
of project finance related services. As well as being one of the
UK’s leading advisors to funders of PFI/PPP schemes, our services
are also relevant to other means of procurement. These services
range from business case development, commercial appraisal,
contract review, payment mechanisms, risk and value management and
financial and economic modelling. An example of where we are
working to provide finance related advice is EDF Energy.
We are assisting EDF Energy in the development of financial models
to assess the value of their long-term Asset Financing Contracts
for private power distribution systems. Having reviewed EDF’s
existing draft models against the commercial terms in the
underlying contracts and assumptions on how the assets will perform
under those contracts in the future, we made numerous
recommendations for improvements and in the second stage of our
assignment we will confirm whether those recommendations have been
properly implemented.
