Mott MacDonald works extensively with both UK central and local
government departments and agencies and with national governments
world-wide to deliver results across a range of sectors and
services. We have extensive experience of providing services
emcompassing business case development, procurement, organisational
change management, programme management and ICT solutions. We have
a number of consultants working within government agencies and are
a recognised provider of Strategic Assignment Consultancy Services
and Gateway Review consultants to the Office of Government
Commerce. An example of how we shared our expertise is our work for
HM Treasury's 'The Green Book'.
As part of the exercise to revise The Green Book, Mott
MacDonald’s consultants prepared the 'Review of Large Public
Procurement in the UK' paper, which includes best practice guidance
for minimising optimism bias. We regularly perform optimism bias
assessments for public sector projects and help define the nature
and detailed scope of projects to develop strategies for the
effective management of project risks, which reduce optimism and
raise the level of confidence in project estimates. We also apply
the recommendations of The Green Book during our preparation of
business cases for public sector projects.
