health sector worldwide. Our colleagues in HLSP provide us with
access to specialist expertise in health sector issues. In the UK,
we have gained a leading position as a supplier of professional
technical services to public sector bodies, financiers, developers,
constructors, operators and insurers using PFI and other
procurement methods to develop new hospital facilities. HLSP are
the leading consultants to DFID and aid-funded programmes for
health, social development and AIDS management in the developing
countries of the world. A current example of where we have been
asked to provide specialist advice is for a payment mechanism
review.
HLSP / Mott MacDonald has pioneered the use of scenario planning
techniques to
analyse the long term performance of
payment mechanisms. This led to our appointment by the NHS
to design its Wave 3 payment mechanism – leading to our subsequent
appointment as architects of the performance measurement system and
output specifications now used by the NHS on all healthcare schemes
– and increasingly on other types of accommodation
projects.
